Abstract
Granulocytic sarcoma is an uncommon tumor composed of granulocytic precursor cells. Because it occurs in a variety of clinical settings and because the tumor cells are primitive it is frequently unrecognized or misdiagnosed during life. Most tumors were originally diagnosed as lymphoma when the patient had prominent lymphadenopathy. Chloroacetate esterase stain and antilysozyme immunoperoxidase stain were very useful in confirming the diagnosis.
This presentation is the authl~ s¢¥ experience with an unusual case of granulocytic sarcoma presented as generalized lymphadenopathy, which was confirmed by bone marrow study and lymph node biopsy with special stains, such as chloro¡©acetate esterase stain and?antilysozyme immunoperoxidase stain.
